Welcome to MYP 4–5 French!
This year, we are going to build your confidence, improve your communication skills, and help you become more independent French learners. Throughout the course, you will not only learn grammar and vocabulary, but also how to express yourself, share your opinions, understand cultures, and communicate naturally in French.

Welcome to MYP 4–5 French!
This year, we are going to build your confidence, improve your communication skills, and help you become more independent French learners. Throughout the course, you will not only learn grammar and vocabulary, but also how to express yourself, share your opinions, understand cultures, and communicate naturally in French.

Unit 0 — General Revision: Let’s Start Again!
In this unit, we will review, reuse, and reinforce the most important foundations of French before moving into more advanced topics.
You will revise:
- subject pronouns
- the verbs être, avoir, aller, and faire
- definite and indefinite articles
- adjectives
You will also learn how to:
- greet people confidently
- introduce yourself
- talk about your daily life
- ask simple questions
- communicate in everyday situations
This unit is extremely important because strong foundations make future learning easier. Do not worry if you have forgotten some grammar points — this is your opportunity to rebuild confidence and strengthen your French skills.
