Dear Students,
Today, you will work together as an Environmental Action Team. Your mission is to investigate one type of pollution and present practical solutions that can help protect our community and our planet.
Imagine that the mayor of your town has asked your group to develop an environmental awareness campaign. It is now your responsibility to research, discuss, and persuade others to take action.
Step 1 – Choose Your Topic
As a group, choose ONE type of pollution:
- La pollution de l’air
- La pollution de l’eau
- La pollution du sol
- La pollution sonore
Step 2 – Research and Discuss
Work together and answer the following questions in French.
- Quelles sont les causes de cette pollution ?
- Quelles sont les conséquences ?
- Qui est responsable ?
- Que pouvons-nous faire pour réduire cette pollution ?
Remember: Use at least 8 environmental vocabulary words from this lesson.
Step 3 – Create Your Awareness Poster
Design an attractive and informative poster that includes:
- A clear title
- A definition of your type of pollution
- 3 causes
- 3 consequences
- 5 practical solutions
- At least one environmental slogan
- Pictures, drawings, or illustrations
Make your poster colourful, creative, and easy to understand.
Step 4 – Group Presentation (3–4 Minutes)
Every member of the group must participate.
Student A – Introduction
- Introduce the type of pollution.
- Explain why it is an important environmental problem.
Student B – Causes
- Explain the causes.
- Use parce que or à cause de.
Student C – Consequences
- Explain the consequences.
- Use donc or par conséquent.
Student D – Solutions
- Present practical solutions.
- Finish with a strong call to action.
Language Challenge
Your presentation must include:
- At least 8 environmental vocabulary words

- At least two opinion expressions, such as:

- Je pense que…

Creative Challenge
Create a memorable slogan for your campaign.
Examples:

- Une planète propre, un avenir meilleur !
Be creative—you may create your own original slogan!

After all presentations, each group will evaluate another group using the following criteria.
