Objective
Work together to identify environmental problems, discuss possible solutions, and present your ideas in French.
Instructions
Each group will receive 4 different pictures showing various environments.
Examples:
- A clean park
- A polluted river
- Heavy traffic
- A factory producing smoke
Together, discuss each picture and complete the table below.
Task 1 – Observe and Describe

Task 2 – Find the Problem
For each picture, discuss the following questions.
Picture 1

- Is the environment clean or polluted?
- Why?
- How can we keep it clean?
Picture 2

- What is causing the pollution?
- Who is affected?
- What should people do?
Picture 3

- What type of pollution do you see?
- What problems can it create?
- Give one solution.
Picture 4

- What do you notice?
- Why is it dangerous?
- How can we reduce this pollution?
Task 3 – Create French sentences
As a team, write 8 complete French sentences.
Your sentences must include:
- 2 sentences using “Il y a…”
- 2 sentences using “C’est…”
- 2 sentences using “Nous devons…”
- 2 sentences using “Il faut…”
Example
Il y a beaucoup de voitures.
C’est dangereux pour l’environnement.
Nous devons recycler.
Il faut protéger la planète.
Task 4 – Mini poster
Create an awareness poster.
Your poster must include:
- A title
- One environmental message
- Five environmental vocabulary words
- One slogan

Slogan
Chaque petite action compte !
Task 5 – Team presentation
Each group will present for 2–3 minutes.
Include:
- Description of one picture
- One pollution problem
- Two solutions
- Team slogan
Every member must speak.
Success criteria
Your team should:
☐ Work respectfully together.
☐ Use French as much as possible.
☐ Use at least 10 environmental vocabulary words.
☐ Speak clearly and confidently.
☐ Contribute equally during the presentation.
